Active Content: This is the core indicator of product purity. The solid form requires a minimum of 81.4% EDTMP•Na5, which is significantly higher than the liquid form's ~30% .

Chloride Content: This reflects the level of chloride salt impurities from production. The standard requires it to be no more than 2.0% .

Iron Content: Iron ions can catalyze decomposition or affect performance, so it must be controlled to a low level (≤20 ppm) .

Product Features & Applications

Performance Advantages: EDTMP•Na5 has good chemical stability and excellent heat resistance, maintaining effective scale inhibition even at 200°C . It chelates multiple metal ions and is particularly effective at inhibiting calcium sulfate and barium sulfate scales .

Main Uses: It is widely used as a corrosion and scale inhibitor in circulating cooling water and boiler water systems, a chelating agent in non-cyanide electroplating, and a water softener in the dyeing industry .

Packaging & Storage: Liquids are typically packaged in 25kg or 250kg plastic drums, while solids are packed in 20kg bags with a polyethylene liner . Store in a cool, dry indoor area, protecting solids from moisture .

Shelf Life: Under proper storage conditions, the shelf life is typically ten months for solids and ten to twelve months for liquids .
