Usage of chelating scale inhibitor BHMTPMPA

Chelated scale inhibitor BHMTPMPA (also known as corrosion inhibitor) is a chemical additive commonly used in water treatment, which can be used to prevent metal ion precipitation and scale accumulation in water. The following is the usage method of BHMTPMPA:

Determine the dosage: Based on the content of metal ions in the water and the water quality, determine the appropriate dosage of BHMTPMPA. Usually added between a few ppm to several tens of ppm as needed.

Pretreatment: If there is a large amount of suspended solids or impurities in the water, pretreatment can be carried out to remove these impurities. This can be achieved through sedimentation, filtration, or other appropriate methods.

Dilution: Dilute BHMTPMPA in an appropriate proportion in clean water for better dispersion and dissolution.

Dosing: Uniformly add the diluted BHMTPMPA to the water to be treated. Uniform dosing can be achieved by using a quantitative pump or other dosing equipment.

Stirring and reaction: Ensure that BHMTPMPA is thoroughly stirred and reacts with metal ions in the water. The stirring time usually takes several minutes to several tens of minutes, depending on the complexity of the water body and the requirements of the water treatment system.

Precipitation and filtration: During the treatment process, BHMTPMPA forms a complex with metal ions, making it less prone to sedimentation and scaling. Sediment can be removed through sedimentation tanks or filters.
