What are dispersants available

Dispersant is a commonly used chemical additive used to disperse solid particles in liquids, preventing their aggregation and precipitation. The following are several common dispersants:

Surfactants: Non ionic and anionic surfactants are commonly used as dispersants. They can reduce the surface tension of solid particles, making them more easily dispersed in liquids.

Colloidal stabilizer: Colloidal stabilizer prevents solid particle aggregation and precipitation through charge action or adsorption. Common colloidal stabilizers include polyvinyl pyrrolidone (PVP), polymer colloids, etc.

Polyols: Polyol compounds, such as glycerol, polyethylene glycol, etc., can also be used as dispersants. They can form hydrogen bonds with water molecules, thereby increasing the viscosity of the liquid and preventing particle deposition.

Chelating agent: Chelating agent can form a complex with metal ions, preventing them from binding with solid particles. For example, certain organic acids, chelating polymers, etc. can be used as dispersants for metal ions.

Suitable dispersants PAAS need to be selected based on specific applications and material characteristics. When using dispersants, the correct ratio and dosage should be determined according to the guidelines and instructions provided by the manufacturer. In addition, it is also necessary to pay attention to the compatibility of dispersants with other additives or process conditions, and follow relevant safety operating procedures.
